Dawn R Galante
Proprietor / COO
With a passion for life and a head for business, Dawn Galante had a dream of producing approachable wines of exceptional quality and elegance. With the loving support of her husband, Jack Galante, her dream has come true. Born and raised in Michigan, Dawn traveled to California in 1985 where she built a life with Jack and their five children: Nicole, John, Alyssa, Evan, and Rachael. Approachable and easy to talk to, Dawn cherishes her family and friends above all else. Dawn has a mischievous, adventurous side, and is always eager to take part in her favorite outdoor sports, snow-skiing, scuba diving, and hiking.
As living proof that dreamers exist and excel, Dawn has built her life on free-thinker Henry David Thoreau's belief that "Dreams are the touchstones of our character." Between managing almost every aspect of her winery, Dawn can occasionally be found strolling hand in hand with Jack through the vines at twilight.
A native California girl, Deborah grew up in San Diego but has called the Monterey Peninsula home for more than 30 years. After graduating from MPC, Deborah immersed herself in the world of food and wine attending the Greystone Culinary Institute and receiving her level one sommelier. With over 15 years of experience as a F&B Manager and a restaurant Wine Buyer, Deborah comes with an ideal background for the wine industry. While her resume speaks volumes, Deborah isn’t all business. She loves to go hiking, read and watch sci-fi and horror, and spend quality time with her two plush puppies at home. At the end of a long day, Deborah reaches for a glass of big, juicy cabernet or a rich, buttery chardonnay.
She is fond of the beautiful quote by Emily Dickinson, "Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all. And sweetest in the gale is heard, and sore must be the storm, that could abash the little bird, that kept so many warm. I've heard it in the chilliest land, and on the strangest sea, yet, never, in extremity, it asked a crumb of me".
Originally from Connecticut, Bess is still a true California girl, spending most of her life in the Bay Area. Graduating from CSUMB with a BS in Kinesiology, Bess can not only help educate you on Dawn’s Dream wine varietals but can wow you with her vast knowledge regarding the human body. One of her favorite pastimes is spending her summers in the Santa Cruz Mountains on a horse ranch and working at the ranch’s winery. With her time on the ranch and her experience managing a wine bar in downtown San Jose, Bess came to Dawn’s Dream with great enthusiasm for wine and a natural capacity of working with people. Bess’ favorite Dawn’s Dream wine on the current menu is our 2013 Pinot Noir Rosé, but she is also very fond of big IPA’s and doesn’t mind rewarding herself with one after spending some quality time outdoors on a long hike.
Bess has a bubbly personality and a positive outlook that truly demonstrates her favorite quote by Mark Twain, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines...sail away from safe harbor...catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Originally from Maine, Georgette moved to the California during her high school days and settled in Santa Cruz with her family. She left the area several times to pursue her passion in marketing, event planning, wine and golf. Georgette has dedicated time to marketing in Silicon Valley, David Bruce Winery, Cuneo Cellars in Oregon, and most recently at Ventana Vineyards. While in Oregon—when she was not planning Bocce Events at Cuneo Cellars—she could be found playing golf on a Commercial League sponsored by, of course, a winery. Her love for golf involves furthering her knowledge of game rules by serving as Tournament Official with the Northern California Golf Association. In Georgette’s world, wine and golf are a hole in one. You will always find a corkscrew in her golf bag and a bottle of Nicole Pinot Noir to share with her golf group.
