At the heart of Dawn’s Dream Winery is Dawn Galante, a dreamer, philanthropist, and visionary who launched her winemaking journey in 2011 with a deep commitment to crafting exceptional wines and giving back to others.

What began as a move from Michigan to California in 1985 quickly became a lifelong love affair with wine. By 2001, Dawn was applying her business acumen to help grow her husband’s winery, Galante Vineyards. A decade later, she followed her own dream and founded Dawn’s Dream Winery, a label rooted in elegance, approachability, and meaning.

Today, Dawn serves as CFO and COO of both Galante Vineyards and Dawn’s Dream Winery, seamlessly blending business strategy with heartfelt storytelling through wine. Her passion for helping women and children shines just as brightly as her passion for winemaking. Through her “Dare to Dream” program, she supports local and global nonprofits by donating wine, time, and resources. Whether it’s Jacob’s Heart, AIM for Youth Mental Health, Rising International, Voices for Children, Community Human Services or Girls Inc. or other impactful organizations, Dawn pours purpose into every endeavor year round.

Her wines, focused on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé, are crafted from premier vineyards across predominately Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, Carmel Valley, and brings some grapes in from Napa and Sonoma, celebrated for their elegant, bright, and complex characteristics. Each sip reflects a dream made real and a life devoted to making the world a little brighter.

Dawn is also an active member of Les Dames d’Escoffier and Knights of the Vine, where she continues to champion women in food, wine, and hospitality. When she’s not curating dreams in the tasting room, Dawn finds joy with her husband, Jack Galante, their five children, and beloved grandchildren. Whether hiking, skiing, or horseback riding, she finds inspiration in nature and lives each day with intention.

As Henry David Thoreau once said, “Dreams are the touchstones of our character.” Dawn lives hers every day, and helps others do the same.
